Pervasive Communication Lab
Andrew Jenkins
Andrew Jenkins is a lifelong Colorado resident. While an undergraduate at CU, he worked for the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) in the engineering division. He designed, verified and debugged digital and power electronics circuits (often while wearing a bunny suit) for the Student Dust Counter, on NASA's New Horizons mission to Pluto, the recently-demoted dwarf planet. He also worked on the Cosmic Dust Experiment (CDE), and the Extreme UV Variability Experiment (EVE). SDC and CDE have launched and are returning science data, EVE launches late 2008. He is currently exploring delay-tolerant networking and effective transport protocol designs for wireless networks. He enjoys backpacking and snowshoeing in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, and learned to ski before he learned to jump.
