Siddharth Maru
Siddharth Maru graduated with a Masters from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Siddharth's interests include Signal Processing, Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition. His thesis involved the use of Signal Processing and Machine Learning techniques for carrying out packet classification in encrypted traffic streams. This work proves that the conventional belief that encryption makes all traffic secure is incorrect and there are other features such as packet sizes and timing information that could be used to infer something about network traffic.
